Acceptable Use Policy

Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of Qubit Forge's platform and services. By using Qubit Forge, you agree to comply with this policy. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations.
This AUP supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
General Conduct
All users of Qubit Forge are expected to:
- Use the platform for its intended educational and professional purposes
- Act in good faith when submitting solutions and participating in the community
- Treat other users with respect
- Follow applicable laws and regulations
- Report violations or security issues through appropriate channels
Prohibited Activities
Account & Authentication
- Creating multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing restrictions or manipulating leaderboards
- Sharing account credentials with others
- Impersonating another user, institution, or entity
- Using automated tools to create accounts
Platform Abuse
- Attempting to exploit vulnerabilities in the platform or execution environment
- Scraping, crawling, or automated data collection from the platform
- Using the execution environment for cryptocurrency mining or unrelated computation
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the platform or its challenges
- Overloading, flooding, or otherwise interfering with platform availability
Challenge Integrity
- Submitting solutions copied from other users (plagiarism)
- Sharing challenge solutions publicly in a way that enables copying
- Using automated tools to solve challenges without genuine engagement
- Manipulating scoring, rankings, or leaderboard positions through illegitimate means
- Circumventing challenge constraints or validation
Community Conduct
- Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of other users
- Discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or national origin
- Posting spam, advertisements, or promotional content outside designated areas
- Publishing personally identifiable information about other users without consent (doxxing)
- Posting offensive, obscene, or illegal content
Intellectual Property
- Infringing on Qubit Forge's or third-party intellectual property rights
- Redistributing challenge content, scoring algorithms, or proprietary materials
- Using Qubit Forge branding or trademarks without authorization
Legal Compliance
- Using the platform for fraudulent purposes
- Engaging in any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Evading sanctions or export controls
Specific Use Cases
Academic Use
If you are using Qubit Forge as part of a course or academic program, you must also adhere to your institution's academic integrity policies. Qubit Forge challenges should be treated as coursework unless your instructor states otherwise.
Institutional Use
Institutional administrators must use cohort management tools for legitimate educational purposes. Student data accessed through institutional dashboards must be handled in compliance with applicable privacy laws and your institution's policies.
Research Use
Research use of aggregated or anonymized platform data requires appropriate IRB or ethics board approval where applicable. Individual user data must not be used for research without explicit consent.
Execution Environment
The Qubit Forge execution environment is provided exclusively for solving challenges and learning. The following uses of the execution environment are prohibited:
- Running computations unrelated to Qubit Forge challenges
- Attempting to access underlying infrastructure or break out of the sandbox
- Executing code designed to harm the platform, its users, or external systems
- Mining cryptocurrency or performing arbitrary computations
Reporting Violations
If you witness a violation of this policy, please report it through the following channels:

When reporting, please include:
- Description of the violation
- Relevant usernames or profile links
- Evidence (screenshots, links, timestamps)
- Date and time of the incident
Enforcement
Investigation Process
All reported violations are reviewed by our moderation team. Investigations are conducted confidentially, and both parties may be contacted for additional information.
Actions
Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, enforcement actions may include:
- Warning: A formal notice for minor or first-time violations
- Temporary suspension: Account access restricted for a defined period
- Permanent ban: Permanent removal from the platform for serious or repeated violations
- Legal action: Pursuit of legal remedies where appropriate
Appeals
You may appeal enforcement actions by contacting appeals@qubitforge.com within 14 days of the action. Appeals are reviewed within 10 business days.
Security Disclosure
If you discover a security vulnerability in Qubit Forge, we ask that you disclose it responsibly:

We offer safe harbor for good-faith security research. If you act in good faith, we will not pursue legal action against you for discovering and reporting vulnerabilities.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
